Job summary
Staff Nurse - Band 5
An amazing chance to work within the Paediatric Emergency Department at Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS foundation Trust.
We work hard as a team to provide the best care to all our patients. We have plenty of opportunities for learning and development within the role as a Band 5 staff nurse.
To assess, plan, implement, evaluate and provide high quality patient care, supporting in the provision of clinical expertise, while working effectively as a member of the Multidisciplinary Team.
To manage a caseloads of patient within defined clinical areas.
To always act in a manner consistent with the Trust Values and NMC Code of Professional Conduct, carrying out his / her duties in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
To lead, support, supervise and teach staff where appropriate.
Main duties of the job
The Emergency Department at Tameside General Hospital provides a 24-hour service. The Emergency Department currently sees nearly 95,000 new patients per year including Paediatrics. The Department is part of the Urgent Care family, which also includes Acute and Integrated Assessment Unit, Same Day Emergency Care and a co-located urgent treatment centre.
