Workshop Manager Location : Arbroath Salary : £45,000 per annum Employment Type : Full-time, Permanent About the Role : We are seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Manager to lead our busy engineering workshop in Arbroath. As part of a well-established and respected bus company, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of vehicle maintenance, ensuring our fleet is safe, reliable, and operating to the highest standards of compliance and performance. Key Responsibilities : Manage day-to-day operations of the workshop, including scheduling maintenance, inspections, and repairsLead, motivate, and support a team of engineers and techniciansEnsure all vehicles meet DVSA and company safety standardsMonitor and manage workshop budgets, inventory, and resourcesLiaise with suppliers and external contractors to ensure quality and cost-efficiencyMaintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirementsIdentify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices across the workshopRequirements : Proven experience in a workshop management or supervisory role within the commercial vehicle or bus industryStrong understanding of vehicle maintenance, safety legislation, and compliance standardsExcellent leadership and communication skillsAbility to manage budgets, plan workloads, and meet deadlinesRelevant engineering qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferred)PCV licence desirable but not essentialWhat We Offer : Competitive salary of £45,000 per yearA permanent, full-time position with a respected transport operatorOpportunities for further training and career developmentA supportive team environment and strong company valuesHow to Apply : If you are a motivated and experienced professional looking to take the next step in your career, we would love to hear from you.
