Our products and system solutions enable energy-efficient, healthy, climate-friendly and affordable living.As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (known internally as a Maintenance Fitter) at our Kingsbury site, you will be part of our hands on inhouse team who keep the plant running by ensuring the equipment runs smoothly.From troubleshooting to planned preventive maintenance (PPM), you will be hands-on with specialist machinery, ensuring everything runs like clockwork. It's a dynamic role where problem-solving skills and technical expertise are used daily, and you will be a key player contributing to the efficiency and reliability of our production processes.Our engineers have a varied role, so youll get the chance to use a variety of maintenance skills associated with being a fitter, fabricator, welder, and service engineer.About the RoleWe will provide you with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to enable you to safely and effectively work as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer where you willCarry out essential maintenanceAssist in developing the agility maintenance systemAttend breakdownsEnsure machine safety standards are upheld and critical spares are maintainedInstall / maintain plant machineryImprove factory overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)Promote Lean thinkingUse various types of testing equipment to locate and fix faultsContribute to safe systems of work (SSOW) documentationAdhere to Wienerbergers quality system & standards in accordance with BSEN ISO 9001Hours of Work :
6.00pm to 6.00am on a 4 on, 4 off shift patternYou will be a mechanically biased engineer with experience working in manufacturing / factory environments, with a minimum level 3 qualification in an Engineering discipline.Safety is our biggest priority, so youll be committed to safe working and have strong experience of health and safety best practice.Youll enjoy working in a busy environment where you can roll your sleeves up and get hands-on, and being flexible and able to adapt to the different daily priorities will enable the factory to continue to run efficiently.As this role is sometimes physically demanding, youll be fit enough to perform your various duties.Youll also haveTeam player who builds good relationships with colleaguesGood communication (written and verbal)Good working knowledge of environment, health, and safety (EHS) processesAnalytical & problem-solving skillsDiagnostics experience of hydraulics, pneumatic, and drive chain fault findingBearing fitting / alignment experienceDesirableYoull have completed a hands-on apprentice training programmeHNC or HND qualification (or equivalent)Experience in heavy industry manufacturingKnowledge of cutting & grinding regulationsArc & Mig welding / basic fabricationElectrical control systems experienceAbout our BenefitsWeekly paidOvertime available to boost your earning potentialTraining and opportunities to grow your career with usCompany PensionSIP
