Graduate Opportunities in Wales Are you a recently graduated student who wants to gain experience working as a TA with children within special needs? Axcis Education want to hear from you! Do you have a musical, sports, creative arts, psychology, foreign languages, English, maths, science and / or childcare background? We are recruiting for teaching assistants in a variety of mainstream and special needs schools around Newport and the surrounding areas. Ideally you will have experience working with with learning disabilities such as autism, Asperger's, downs syndrome, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties. If not, we are looking for people with an Art, Dance, Physical Education backgrounds plus more. The hours will be 8 : 30-3 : 30pm and you need to be flexible working in a variety of settings and with a host of children with different needs. Some may be non verbal and you may have to do some personal care, knowledge of Makaton or PECS would be advantageous. If you are a caring, friendly and patient individual seeking to gain experience within the special needs sector then this could be just the kind of role you're looking for. A positive can- do attitude and resilience would make you a great teaching assistant. Even though the role is on a supply basis, there is the opportunity to be flexible with your time and work up to five days a week.
