Job Description
- Support management of the Communications and Engagement grid to support the planning and implementation of communications activity and ensure directorate oversight of wider organisational activity
- Manage the communications, engagement and events form with responsibility for triaging and ensuring timely responses to requests
- Provide operational support to the Participant Panel at Genomics England including organising their quarterly meetings, writing minutes, booking travel and accommodation, reporting spend against the allocated budget and supporting their attendance at external events
- Support delivery of internal communications including bi-weekly Exchange newsletter and development of engaging and accessible content on the intranet
- Collate content, create and distribute email communications using software such as MailChimp
- Schedule and publish content on our external website as required
- Offer logistics support for our internal events, and external online and in-person events such as our annual research conference
- Support management of shared inboxes ensuring timely responses to enquiries
- Support production of quarterly reports to monitor and evaluate communications and engagement activity
- Provide administrative support to colleagues across the Directorate as required
- Act as a company brand champion, ensuring that communications reflect our brand and messaging
- Know and understand the meaning behind our virtues and leadership behaviours and embody them in all aspects of your role

Salary from : £34,000

Blended working model
Genomics England operates a blended working model as we know our people appreciate the flexibility that hybrid working can bring. We expect most people to come into the office a minimum of 2 times each month. However, this will vary according to role and will be agreed with your team leader. There is no expectation that people will return to the office full time unless they want to, however, some of our roles require full time on site attendance e.g., lab teams, reception team.
Our teams and squads have, and will continue to reflect on what works best for them to work together successfully and have the freedom to design working patterns to suit, beyond the minimum. Our office locations are : Canary Wharf, Cambridge and Leeds.
