HGV Driver Class 1 neededHullOur client, a top brand Truck and Van dealer offering comprehensive solutions for the sale, service and repair of commercial vehicles, is seeking for a HGV Driver Class1 to join their team.The ideal candidate's main role is the collection and delivery of customer vehicles as well as maintenance in the garage, assisting with yard manoeuvres.Role : HGV Driver Class 1Hours : 4 Nights (48 Hours) - Alternate Mon-Thurs, Tues-FriLocation : HullKey Responsibilities :

• collection and delivery of customer vehicles
• Adhoc duties; maintenance in the garage, assisting with yard manoeuvres
• Report and record any vehicle defects or issues.
• Ensure the lorry is clean, roadworthy, and compliant with DVSA regulations.
• Secure and check loads for correct weight distribution and safe transport.
• Occasionally assist with loading / unloading using tail lifts or pallet trucks (depending on role).
• Drive long-distance routes between depots or client locations, often motorways and A-roads.
• Adhere to all speed limits, driving laws, and rest period regulations.
• Meet scheduled delivery or collection times, often working to tight overnight deadlines.
• Plan routes efficiently and deal with unexpected delays (e.g. road closures or weather).Requirements :
• HGV class 1 licence is required for this position.
• Driver-CPC would be an advantage
