Position Overview : As a Quality Assurance Assistant at Freshly Prepd, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our quality assurance programs and systems. You will be responsible for formulating equipment calibration notification systems, completing regulatory documentation, and preparing departments for audits. Your role will involve gathering statistical data for operational measures and outlining safety standards to ensure compliance and efficiency. Key Responsibilities : Develop and implement equipment calibration notification systems and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulations. Gather and analyse statistical data to support operational measures and decision-making. Prepare departments for audits by organizing necessary documents and outlining safety standards. Conduct organoleptic testing for products, from goods-in to the end of their shelf life, and record findings. Collect and manage product samples for microbiological analysis and shelf-life assessment. Coordinate daily QA functions, assist in decision-making regarding quality issues, and support shift QA activities. Ensure compliance with HACCP guidelines and company policies related to food safety, quality, and legality. Write and maintain procedures as part of the Quality Management System (QMS), and periodically review the system for improvements. Carry out QA inspection functions as assigned by the QA Manager and manage microbiology test data to meet documentation guidelines. Implement and manage customer complaint systems and corrective / preventive action procedures. Coordinate maintenance and random counts to ensure consistent quality. Qualifications and Skills : Strong communication, influencing, and coaching skills. Competency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Problem-solving, team building, planning, and decision-making skills. Food Safety qualifications are desirable but not essential. Experience with HACCP and quality management systems is an advantage.
