CRG TEC LTDLondonThe Role – Site Supervisor : Structured Cabling
Location – Surrey / Hampshire / Sussex / London with extensive UK and European Travel

Intelligent data linked to professional sports is here to say, and the evolution of data in many decision making processes is only continuing to increase.
To support that, we’re working with one of the global leaders in sports technology and are looking to recruit a technical site supervisor who will be driving the process and delivery of next generation technology into British football stadiums and then in time, branching out across stadiums in Europe.
The equipment sits on fibre optic infrastructure so we’re looking for supervisors / project engineers that come from a hands on cabling background who also have the end to end sub contractor delivery experience to supervise installation partners across multiple sites.
The fibre and cabling installation will mainly be outsourced to partner companies (Cat6) but you’ll be :
- Attending venues
- Carrying out surveys
- Produce statements of works and associated documentation
- Engage contractors to deliver the cable infrastructure
- Manage quotations
- Manage progress through to completed network install
- Return to the venue & check equipment set up
- Perform calibration on equipment and configurations
- Sign off install and then attend for fault fix and adjustment in future as needed.
Training will be given on specific hardware and technology but a reasonable configuration knowledge of typical networking equipment would be assumed.
In plain English, you’ll come from a network / structured cable engineering background but will have moved off the tools into a project / supervisor role – so the role is s hybrid between supervision / site delivery and some hands on when needed.
Flexibility is going to be a big deal on this one as while the roles are UK focused at the moment, the likelihood is that the positions will have more of a European flavour in around 12 months, meaning you could be travelling 50% of the time (It’s fully business expensed).
Ideal location would be South London, Surrey, Hampshire or West / East Sussex. We can’t consider people based in other locations for now.
Some of the work will be at heights (Football stadiums) so you would need to be OK with that although specific climbing tickets are not needed. Any relevant site management qualifications such as CSCS or SSSTS would be a bonus, but are not essential.
You’ll need a full driving license and your own vehicle and then claim back mileage / petrol.
