Job Purpose
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Waking Night Care Worker to join our team on a flexible basis, working 2–3 nights per week as required. The successful candidate will provide overnight care and support to individuals in our service, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being throughout the night.
Key Responsibilities
Provide personal care including toileting, washing, dressing, and repositioning as needed.
Monitor the health and well-being of service users throughout the night.
Assist service users with bedtime routines and offer reassurance or emotional support.
Respond promptly to calls for assistance and emergencies.
Carry out regular checks on residents / service users as per individual care plans.
Record all care provided accurately using the appropriate documentation or digital systems.
Administer medication in accordance with training and company policy (if applicable).
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
Work collaboratively with day staff to ensure continuity of care.
Report any concerns or incidents to senior staff immediately.
Requirements
Experience in a care or support role (preferred but not essential).
NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and remain alert throughout the night.
Compassionate, patient, and reliable.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable individuals.
Essential Skills :
- A driving licence and access to a vehicle
- A caring nature and positive attitude
- Satisfactory references and DBS check
- The Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
