Outreach Support Worker

They believe change is achievable when offered by a flexible, respectful, inclusive and a non-judgemental approach.  Salary : £24,000 Per Annum  (pro rata for part time hours)   Hours : Open to discussion – Will consider full time, part time and sessional hours    Duration : 2 year contract   Company Benefits :   26 days annual leave + bank holidays + 1 day for your birthday, Pension, Access to Simply Health, Blended working, Employee discount programme, mileage paid and more…..Friendly supportive team, excellent training & support to progress   Location – Client base is across Surrey and you will be assigned to individuals to reduce travel time as much as possible so is dependent on your location and client needs   Our client takes pride in the high standard of services it provides to people with complexities, vulnerabilities and / or high risk needs.  The team has a ‘can do’ attitude and often works long term with people where mainstream services are not appropriate.  They offer a range of services which includes assertive outreach and support packages for people who are hard to engage with.  Services include teaching life skills, socialisation, finances and paperwork, maintaining clients homes environment and they also work with hoarders.    Using a keywork approach you will be responsible for all aspects of delivering the service in 1-2-1 regular support provisions, working in line with care plans from commissioning services.   Over time you will get to build relationships of trust, always remaining non-judgemental and taking small steps to make a difference.  It is an extremely rewarding role working with vulnerable individuals in the community.     This post is subject to a DBS check.  Please note past drug and / or alcohol or criminality history will not necessarily discount you from undertaking this role   Our ideal applicant will have / be;   Experience working within a social care or mental health environment is preferred Reliability is crucial, as you will join a loyal team dedicated to supporting and safeguarding some of the most vulnerable in our community Must drive and have own transport and able to travel to different locations on a daily basis An understanding of Safeguarding policy and practise Good communication skills both written and verbal  eSift have been appointed as the resource partner and we are managing this role on behalf of our client.
