What’s expected of you?
The Group Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for managing and developing the supply chain strategy for DeterTech. They will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that materials, products and services are procured efficiently and cost-effectively. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards, and identifying and mitigating supply chain risks.
This role is a hybrid working role with the expectation of going into our Telford office twice per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage supplier relationships and contracts, including pricing and service negotiations
- Source new suppliers for components for key products at competitive prices and using robust supply channels
- Develop and implement supply chain strategy, reporting metrics, policies and procedures for the organisation
- Work with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop sourcing strategies that optimise cost, quality, and lead time
- Work with Finance on forecasts, keeping records of the process and analysing performance
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including supply shortages, supplier financial instability, and geopolitical risks
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including import / export regulations, ethical sourcing, and product safety
- Manage supplier performance in line with ISO9001
- Participate in cross-functional teams to develop and execute new product introductions, cost reduction initiatives, and other supply chain improvement projects
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance or a related field5+ years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership roleStrong knowledge of procurement, logistics, and inventory managementExperience in managing supplier relationships and negotiating contractsAbility to identify and mitigate supply chain risksStrong project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teamsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of relevant regulations and standards, including import / export regulations, ethical sourcing, and product safetyPersonal Attributes :
