DevOps Engineer

DevOps Engineer : Kubernetes, CI / CD, GCP, Cloud, Docker, Financial Services

Our client, a global leader in financial services, is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join their team, responsible for key applications critical to the firm.

In this role, you will design and build best-in-class, large-scale applications using modern practices and tech stacks. You will also work closely with operations teams to provide solutions for challenging business requirements.

The team values continuous improvement, development processes, and automation, and places a high value on collaboration.

Key skills and experience :

• A strong background in DevOps, CI / CD, and Cloud engineering
• A background in financial services, banking, and large enterprise environments
• A background in Cloud development with major platforms, ideally GCP
• A proven record with containerization and Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform
• Experience working with microservices and API-based solutions
• Managing and deploying CI / CD tools and working with Jenkins, Ansible, Jira, and Git
• Scripting with PowerShell and Python
• A background and knowledge of Windows and Linux environments
• Knowledge of best practices, emerging technologies, and trends
• Experience working with global, diverse, cross-functional teams, with the ability to develop and nurture working relationships
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
