Controls & Instrumentation Project Engineer

Title : Controls & Instrumentation Project Engineer Location : Northwest of England Duration : Contract (initially 12 months) Our client, a Global Chemicals Organisation, is looking to add a Controls & Instrumentation Project Engineer to support the site instrument and electrical team with new projects. Key Responsibilities :

• Provide instrumentation and electrical project design
• Contribute to or author Basis of Design documents for scouting and project planning.
• Coordinate with OEMs for equipment selection and technical specifications.
• Develop cost estimates and compile cost books
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align on project timelines, support needs, and commissioning strategies.
• Possess hands-on experience in chemical or petrochemical plant environments.
• Knowledgeable in Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) design and testing in accordance with IEC 61508 / 61511 standards.
• Prepare and manage commissioning documentation. Requirements : Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred Minimum HNC & NVQ Level 3 is required Experience of Electrical Control & Instrumentation within a top tier COMAH environment.
