ASP.NET WebForms Developer

As an ASP.NET WebForms Developer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing web applications using ASP.NET WebForms, C#, and SQL Server. You will ensure the performance, security, and reliability of applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver quality solutions efficiently.

Your role will also involve modernising legacy applications, integrating APIs, and improving overall system scalability. There will be an opportunity to upskill more modern frameworks as the modernisation progresses.

And as a ASP.NET WebForms Developer with Concerto, you’ll do it by

  • Develop and maintain web applications using ASP.NET WebForms, C#, and SQL Server.
  • Design, develop, and optimise SQL queries, stored procedures, and database schemas for improved performance.
  • Debug and resolve application issues efficiently, ensuring system reliability.
  • Implement secure development practices such as authentication, authorisation, and data encryption to protect applications.
  • Optimise front-end performance, ensuring seamless user experiences across different devices.
  • Collaborate with product owners, development, and QA teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and provide mentorship to junior developers.
  • Work with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery for UI enhancements and interactivity.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and web services for extended functionality.
  • Maintain documentation of code, architecture, development processes, and best practices.
  • Participate in Agile development processes, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Provide technical support and maintenance for existing applications.

What does it take?

  • 3+ years of experience in ASP.NET WebForms development.
  • Proficiency in C#, .NET Framework, and Visual Studio.
  • Strong expertise in SQL Server, including query optimization, stored procedures, indexing, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery for UI development.
  • Familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
  • Experience with version control tools such as Git.
  • Knowledge of RESTful API development and integration.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Nice to have :

  • Experience migrating WebForms applications to ASP.NET Core or MVC.
  • Knowledge of modern front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS and cloud-based database solutions.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools, CI / CD pipelines, and automated deployment.
  • Experience with Unit Testing and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
  • Understanding of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Exposure to reporting tools such as SSRS or Power BI.
