Job Title : Finance Manager

You will need to understand our operations, delivery methods, and key personnel across the business, demonstrating a go-getter attitude. This role requires frequent engagement with the team, including regular interactions with the Finance team and Finance Director, often involving visits to different offices and key individuals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Ensure compliance with client onboarding policies, risk management, credit checks, and contract terms.
- Manage project data on our in-house platform, Helix, ensuring accurate and complete information for new and existing clients.
- Oversee the production of sales invoices in collaboration with delivery teams, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.
- Implement improved processes for invoicing, applications, and WIP management.
- Assist with credit control, particularly in resolving queried or overdue debts.
- Coordinate the collection of management accounts data from various teams and liaise with the central finance team to produce divisional MI.
- Review project profitability and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Audit WIP balances across locations to verify accuracy.
- Coordinate annual budgeting processes, collate information, and submit budgets according to company policies and schedules.
- Manage the orders and prospects database, updating monthly submissions.
- Supervise support staff across divisions in financial data collation.
- Oversee divisional overhead expenditure and ensure cost control measures are in place.
The Person We Seek :
A qualified accountant with experience in engineering consultancy or contracting environments.Knowledge of construction payment mechanisms and applications for payment.Experience in resolving payment disputes.Attention to detail, tenacity, and resilience are essential, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills.Proficiency in MS Office; experience with Navision is preferred.What You Can Expect :
