Building Surveyor – Compliance : $96,731– $101,823 p.a. + super (based on experience)

Compliance Officer – Building : $85,751 -$90,264 p.a. + super (based on experience)

The Development Services team plays a vital role in ensuringsafe and compliant development across the City. Whetheryou’re an experienced Building Surveyor or an emergingCompliance Officer, you’ll be part of a professional andcollaborative team that values integrity, service excellence, andcommunity impact.

What You’ll Do

• Investigate and resolve complaints related to buildingcompliance
• Provide technical advice on breaches of the Building Act,Regulations, and Council policies
• Process Building Approval Certificates and OccupancyPermits for unauthorised works
• Prepare reports, collect evidence, and support legalproceedings
• Assist in training and mentoring junior officers andtechnical staff
• Collaborate with planning and health services to resolvecross-functional compliance issues
