Software Development Engineer II

Overview

Join Esri's team of passionate and technical engineers in our UK Research and Development centers, designing and building new geospatial tools as web services and APIs.

We need candidates that are technically driven, are effective communicators, and possess the initiative to tackle challenging problems. In return we will provide you with the support you need to achieve a meaningful and successful long-term career in software engineering. You will have the chance to use several tools from technologies such as Rust, C++, AWS, Jenkins, Docker, JavaScript, Open API / Swagger, Git and many more.

Esri has a Relocation Assistance Program and can provide support with relocating to the Edinburgh area for this position.

Responsibilities

• Build modern APIs and web services with Rust
• Collaborate with other engineers throughout the development process
• Design, develop, and test code
• Communicate your design and implementation decisions

Recommended Qualifications

Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy. Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is £36,000 - £61,200
