Responsibilities include :
- Ensuring the structural design meets programme airworthiness and product requirements, in line with cascaded Design Quality Assurance Criteria.
- Defining, delivering, and enabling technical studies, trades, and investigations to ensure the delivery of technical solutions according to relevant Design methods and procedures.
- Supporting the identification, management, and delivery of changes through Mod opening, DFM release, and Stage 3 Closure of Mods on time, to cost, and with quality.
- Providing design leadership of internal and external designers within the team and ownership of Lean Engineering improvements, especially 'Right First Time' and Lead Time Reduction, to demonstrate design requirements within program constraints.
- Ensuring effective organization and governance of design and maturity reviews in line with Airbus policies, processes, and practices.
Skill Set :
Design Approval / Authorisation Signatory is essential.Experience leading a design or project team, especially complex or multi-value projects.Proven ability to achieve delivery to time, cost, and quality.Strong problem-solving skills, including finding creative solutions to complex problems.Risk management skills and the ability to take calculated risks.Ability to make or influence decisions within a complex stakeholder network, enabling right-first-time delivery and achieving milestones.Ability to integrate with and influence technical experts and specialists for optimal solutions.Track record of maturing new technologies, implementing design-to-cost projects, and initiating strategic technology projects.Knowledge of design toolsets such as CATIA V5, ICC, Zamiz, ECM, Solings, and PASS.Additional details :
