The business originally started as a Plant Hire business in 1982 by Alan Smith with one very old JCB! Smiths has now grown to be one of the largest Construction and Waste businesses in the South-West and South Wales.

With Plant Hire firmly at the heart of Smiths and due to expansion, we are looking for a dedicated and experienced mobile plant fitter to join our team. We are committed to providing exceptional service so join our team and be part of our success!

Hours : 47.5 hours per week 07 : 00 – 17 : 00

Salary Range : £14 - £18 per hour dependent on experience

Responsibilities for mobile plant fitter role :

• Carry out breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance on plant / equipment
• General maintenance of any plant / equipment within the workshop at any time allocated to you by the Workshop Manager / Workshop Foreman
• Ensure the work is carried out in accordance with company policies, to a high standard and in line with best practice
• Capability to carry our hydraulic & electrical diagnoses on plant equipment
