Senior Acoustic Consultant - Alton - 45,000 to 60,000 + Benefits

A specialist UK-based Acoustic and Environmental Consultancy is seeking a Senior Acoustic Consultant to join its growing team in Alton, Hampshire . This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced acoustics professional to take the lead on a wide range of building and environmental acoustics projects across the South of England.

Essential Requirements :

A degree in Acoustics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years' experience in acoustic consultancy.

Strong technical knowledge in building or environmental acoustics.

Proficiency with acoustic modelling software (e.g., CadnaA, SoundPLAN, Odeon, or CATT).

A full UK driving licence.

Desirable Experience :

Chartered status or working towards it (e.g., MIOA).

Experience in delivering BS4142, BS8233, BB93, and ProPG assessments.

Comfortable managing projects from start to finish, including liaising with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Ability to mentor junior staff and contribute to internal training.

The Role :

You will be responsible for leading a variety of acoustics projects, with the opportunity to shape technical approaches and contribute to business development. Projects span sectors including residential, commercial, infrastructure, and education.

Key Responsibilities :

Conducting and overseeing noise surveys and on-site measurements.

Acoustic modelling, data analysis, and technical reporting.

Managing client relationships and project delivery.

Mentoring junior team members and contributing to quality assurance.

Supporting business development and bid preparation.
