The team

Freeths has a highly rated and award-winning team of over 150 real estate lawyers operating from 13 UK locations. Our Sheffield Real Estate team handles all aspects of real estate work, including Landlord and Tenant, commercial and residential development, investment acquisitions and disposals, fund management, property finance, and regeneration projects. The Sheffield team is led by Partner Kevin Fox, who has extensive experience in complex real estate projects and is a member of our National Housebuilding & Strategic Land group.

The role

The team is expanding and looking for an enthusiastic lawyer with a broad spectrum of experience to join them in Sheffield. Applications are invited from commercial property lawyers at Associate level with approximately 0-3 years of post-qualified experience. The role can be tailored to the experience level of the successful candidate.

Your Skills And Qualifications

  • Relevant previous experience and appropriate post-qualified experience (PQE) for the role.
  • Strong commercial acumen and industry understanding.
  • Proven track record in financial management, client expectation management, and sound case management skills.
  • Self-starting, friendly, with excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to high client service levels.
  • Ability to embody the firm’s values consistently.
  • Good IT skills, experience with case management systems, electronic time recording, and Microsoft Office.

  • Maintain high standards and deliver exemplary client service.
  • Effective financial management, including accurate time recording, billing, and WIP management.
  • Contribute to business development to retain and grow client relationships.
  • Keep technical knowledge up to date.
  • Comply with SRA competence standards.
