Pulse have recently partnered with one of the UK’s specialist provider of diagnostic and healthcare solutions. We are currently looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist, who can provide overall support for the clinical leadership of the service. This post is based in Croydon, which is easily accessible via public transport. Please note this is a 12 months contract role covering maternity leave.
About the role :
As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide consultation, workshops, training and guidance to the educational and residential teams around children.

Your main responsibilities as an Occupational Therapist :
Utilise an individual, group or consultation approach to therapyProvide therapy programmes for class staff to carry out for the whole class, or as individual programmesWork closely with class staff to ensure that occupational therapy is embedded into the school curriculumEnsuring occupational therapy is embedded throughout the school day is imperative for students to learn and consolidate functional skills and to achieve goalsWorks in a multi-disciplinary team with the Speech and Language Team and Wellbeing therapist within the schoolSign post parents to NHS Occupational Therapy Services and Social Services Occupational Therapy in Brent and with other boroughs where appropriateWhat we are looking for in an Occupational Therapist :
Be a qualified Occupational Therapist registered with the HCPCHave experience and be skilled in delivering therapeutic interventions for children and young people with complex needsNeed experience of supporting teams around a child or young person to ensure they are being provided with clinically informed living and learning environments and experiencesBe a confident, engaging and effective, model, guide, leader and trainer.Be highly organised and ready to take the initiativeBe committed to ensuring the best outcomes for young peopleWhy work with Pulse?
