Skills Summary 8-12 years’ experience within a management / IT consulting environment. Good technical experience : the ideal candidate would possess a breadth of knowledge across corporate IT infrastructure, and still be actively involved / interested in technology The ideal candidate should have knowledge of one or more of the following areas : International corporate networks End-user compute within corporate environments Data centre infrastructure (server / storage / virtualisation) Public cloud Big data, visualisation and / or analytics Additionally, the ideal candidate may possess knowledge of software engineering / development lifecycle and methodologies. However, our focus is more on infrastructure than software. Leadership experience – project and programme management experience Client lead experience – experience of being consulting lead at a client Exposure to the full delivery lifecycle, from early stage (business case development, project initiation) through delivery and onto close-out, transition to operations and benefits realisation. Experience working at multiple clients / on a variety of projects. Experience working with more junior consultants, with a willingness to help with their professional development The ability to produce written work to a high standard, and be comfortable with writing deliverable documents in Word, building useful Excel models (e.g. business case or other financial / delivery related spreadsheets) and producing ‘consulting’ PowerPoint. Experience with consulting sales processes, ideally with : successful sell-on roles at a client Involvement in bid work Business development experience Commercial awareness of the consulting model.
