We are seeking a Support Worker to support our client at her home in Wotton-Under-Edge .

Meet the Client :

Our client is a young woman in her twenties with a recent spinal cord injury. She lives at home with her parents and her German Shepherd dog, and enjoys spending time with her partner. She is recently out of hospital and adapting to life at home, undergoing intensive physiotherapy. The role includes assisting her with physiotherapy appointments, providing a supportive environment within a family home.

Responsibilities include :

  • Supporting her in her daily activities, including mobility and personal care (assisted by a second support worker for moving and handling)
  • Medication management
  • Domestic duties
  • Driving her vehicle to community outings and physiotherapy appointments, requiring a full UK driver’s license

Experience : Previous experience working with individuals with spinal cord injuries is essential.

Shifts :

  • Day shifts (split shifts) : 9 hours during the day, plus 1 hour in the evening
  • Shift times : 8am-5pm, with an additional hour in the evening (8pm-9pm weekdays / 9pm-10pm weekends)
  • Flexibility required based on the client’s schedule
  • Part-time or full-time roles available depending on your availability
