Taylor Veterinary Practice offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our large, friendly, and welcoming team of over 60 staff. Located in the southside of Glasgow, we are proud to be one of the world’s oldest veterinary practices, having served our community’s animals for nearly two centuries.
Join a Team Rich in Experience and Support
Work alongside an experienced management team supporting 17 vets and 12 RVNs, complemented by skilled ANAs, receptionists, an accounts manager, and insurance and pet health club administrators. Our team delivers exceptional patient care across our busy main branch in Cathkin and three consulting-only branches in East Kilbride and Clarkston. Flexibility to travel between these sites is essential to fully embrace this role.
Modern Facilities Meet Professional Growth
Our recently renovated practice features state-of-the-art facilities, including walk-in kennels, a fully equipped in-house laboratory, multi-parameter monitors, ultrasound, digital and dental X-rays-everything needed to provide top-quality daily care. Our wonderful client base appreciates the high standard of care we uphold, and we’re equally committed to supporting your professional development and special interests.
Expand Your Skills in a Collaborative Environment
In this role, you’ll gain valuable hands-on experience across small animal care, including consultations, surgery, emergency care, and reception duties-building a broad and rewarding skill set. Our supportive, close-knit team prioritises collaboration, ongoing education, and a positive workplace culture where your contributions are truly valued. We’re particularly keen to hear from applicants passionate about leading nurse clinics.
Find Your Perfect Work-Life Balance
This full-time role involves a 40-hour workweek spread over 4 or 5 days, with a Saturday rota of 12 shifts per year. There are no out-of-hours duties, as emergency care is covered externally by VetsNow Glasgow, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
