Cloud Engineer – Glasgow – Outside of IR35

My Customer is embarking on a transformational greenfield migration —rebuilding their infrastructure from the ground up as they move from an on-premises environment to Microsoft Azure .

They are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to lead and deliver this cloud-first initiative.

This is a unique opportunity to work on a complete rebuild from scratch , designing and implementing a modern, scalable, and secure Azure-based cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Cloud Engineer :

• Outside of IR35
• Lead the implementation of a full migration from on-premise to Azure .
• Deploy Azure-based infrastructure following best practices around security, scalability, and reliability .
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform .
• Set up robust CI / CD pipelines and automation workflows using Azure DevOps .
• Collaborate with architects, developers, and security teams to define cloud strategies and standards.
• Monitor and optimize cloud performance, cost, and governance.
• Ensure cloud environments are compliant with internal and external policies.

Required Skills & Experience from the Cloud Engineer :

The Cloud Engineer is required to work 5 days a week onsite in Glasgow.
