Interim Head of Finance - Financial Planning : an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Finance - Financial Planning in a Local Authority setting. Working closely with the Director of Finance you will oversee the authorities Financial Planning cycle and have overall responsibility for a team of five.

Key responsibilities of the Head of Finance - Financial Planning :

• Support the Director Strategic Finance and Technical in managing the development and ongoing co-ordination of the Council's Medium Term Financial Strategy.
• Manage and support a team of five
• Ensure effective financial reporting is in place, encouraging best practice and introducing innovative ways of working.
• Review and update financial planning processes and procedures to ensure they are robust and appropriate.
• Provide support on the business partnering and financial improvement journey
• Lead on developing, implementing, and monitoring the annual Treasury Management Strategy, including prudential indicators.
• Ensure compliance with treasury policies, statutory requirements, and best practices; regularly review these policies and practices.
• Responsible for managing the administration of grants within the council.
