JOB PURPOSE
MSC Cruise Management UK is looking for a driven UK or EU Qualified Commercial / Shipping Lawyer with experience in shipping and / or insurance, to join their busy Legal and insurance team. Candidates shall be able to handle a variety of commercial and contract-related matters in a shipping context and liaise with opponent lawyers, shipyards, insurers, agencies, ship command, and other departments.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Handles contract preparation and review – third party vendor contracts, shipbuilding / ship repair and supply contracts;
- Assists in ship deliveries and the handling of guarantee issues;
- Assists in general litigation;
- Acts as part of the Legal Handles incidents and claims ;
- Liaises with senior management and department heads;
- Assists with company secretarial duties;
- Direct report to the VP, Legal;
