Location : Sheffield

Salary : £86 - £100 per day (Depending on Experience)

Start Date : September 2025

Contract Type : Day-to-Day / Long-Term; Full-Time / Part-Time

GSL Education are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Sheffield . Whether you are an experienced individual or looking to begin your journey in education, we want to hear from you.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) , you will support students with a range of special educational needs—including Autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and learning disabilities. Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs, you will contribute to personalised learning plans and help students engage confidently with the curriculum.

SEN TA Responsibilities :

• Provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual students with SEND.
• Assist in implementing Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Encourage students’ participation, independence, and social interaction.
• Use a range of communication strategies to engage students with varying needs.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and external professionals to deliver consistent care.
• Adapt resources and teaching methods to suit individual learning styles.
• Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
