Job Description

We are seeking an experienced engineer to lead and support power system protection & control (P&C) projects within our UK Transmission & Distribution practice. Your responsibilities will include :

  • Leading technical roles on multidisciplinary engineering teams;
  • Serving as a senior authority on P&C engineering;
  • Mentoring less experienced engineers;
  • Delivering P&C design packages for substations up to 400kV;
  • Conducting power system studies and preparing technical documentation;
  • Ensuring compliance with UK standards and regulations;
  • Supporting project proposals, client meetings, and business development;
  • Promoting safety and technical excellence within the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • At least 7 years of protection & control engineering experience, with 5+ years on UK transmission projects.
  • Knowledge of UK safety, environmental legislation, and relevant standards (e.g., ENA / BS / IEC / IEEE).
  • Experience with National Grid procedures and protection settings roles (TP137, TP141).
  • Proficiency in CAD, BIM, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
