Job descriptionExtensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor (minimum of 3 years). BSc in Quantity Surveying or HND in Quantity Surveying. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of construction methods, contracts (NEC3 / 4 Options A & C), and standard measurement practices. Chartered or working towards chartership (e.g. with RICS or equivalent). Experience in the Power Transmission & Distribution sector. Monitor and improve cost efficiency within operations. Promote safe working practices within the commercial team. Manage budgets, procure subcontractors, and prepare contracts, also review and negotiate contract / subcontract terms, supporting major projects from handover to final account. Assess and issue subcontractor certificates as needed.
Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor and Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established electrical and power firm, on a 6-month contract (possibility for future extension) Our client would also consider outside IR35 contractors. The successful candidate will work in a hybrid arrangement, working from the Birmingham office.
This is a great opportunity to work on landmark HV Power, Transmission & Distribution projects, shaping the future of the UK's Energy, Power, T&D Infrastructure.
- Day rate between £400-475 (depending on experience),
