What You’ll Be Doing Day To Day

Using your passion for your patients and your profession, deliver a memorable customer journey
Bringing your vibrant personality into the day to day running of the practice – setting high standards to ensure everything runs professionally, upholding the highest possible standard of clinical care, selecting the best products for each customer
Build trusted, longstanding relationships – not only with colleagues and customers but with healthcare professionals in the local community
Listening to our customers providing the right, up to date information at all times

What’s on Offer?

Total package worth up to £85,000, comprising of :

Salary up to £67,000 (depending on experience)

10,000 joining bonus (t&cs apply)

Our Leadership Team

We have 4 Optometry Directors within the store, collectively providing over 50 years of optometry experience. We are very proud of our Pre-Reg programme and have enjoyed many years of success; our Principal Optometrist has over 15 years’ experience.

What We’re Looking For

Alongside being a qualified and GOC registered Optometrist, we are searching for someone who shares our store’s ethos. Someone who wants to grow, develop and offer exceptional customer care along the way. We want a practitioner who prides themselves on their clinical judgment, that isn’t afraid of a hands-on approach and who is keen to get involved and build rapport with the rest of the team. In summary, we’re looking for a skilled resident Optometrist to join us, be part of the team and assist in driving our practice forward.

Your career development will be mapped and documented, targeting your career aspirations, and aligned to your clinical development. Your growth will become our store legacy and an inspiration to our Pre-Reg Optometrists of the future.

Having once been Britain’s First City and the former capital of Roman Britain Colchester’s rich history dates back over 2000 years. In 2022, Colchester was gifted modern city status as part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. As well as being steeped in history, Colchester is also a thriving, modern destination with first class visitor attractions as well as fantastic places to eat, drink and shop, and of course, work.

Location

Colchester is in the East of England within the county of Essex. Situated close to the coast in East Anglia it is on the border with Suffolk and around 50 miles North-East of London. Colchester can be reached from London in under an hour by train from Liverpool Street Station, or by taking the A12 if driving. It is close to both London Stanstead and London Southend Airports as well as Harwich International Port for Ferry Travel.
