Here at Amazon, we are currently seeking an experienced Operations Shift Manager to join our team at the Delivery Station in Mulgrave, Melbourne. This role is vital in leading our associates and ensuring the smooth operation of our delivery processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of Amazon associates.
  • Maintain health and safety standards and promote a safety culture on-site.
  • Collaborate with support teams such as Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources to meet business objectives.
  • Identify and lead process improvement initiatives using Lean tools.
  • Perform physical tasks including pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching with varying weights.

A Day in the Life

As an inspiring leader within our Delivery Stations, you will work to improve delivery process efficiency, ensuring customer orders are delivered quickly, accurately, and cost-effectively. You will oversee workflows and ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in Operations, Supply Chain / Logistics, or a related field.
  • Management experience with sizable teams, demonstrating motivation and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, including conducting Dive Deep analyses.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with performance metrics and process improvements.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Legal authorization to work in Australia without sponsorship.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant Amazon experience.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with planning, performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean or Kaizen methodologies.
