Vision for Education are looking for Children's Mental Health Assistant to work in a SEMH (Social and Emotional Mental Health needs) school setting in Thornaby.

The School and Role

A specialist school in Thornaby are looking for a Children's Mental Health Assistant to support young people and children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. As a Mental Health Support Assistant, you will be based inside the classroom supporting students within their education. Class sizes are small to ensure the needs of each pupil are met. You will be responsible for supporting their educational, social, and emotional development.

Requirements

The desired Children’s Mental Health Assistant will :

• Have a caring, supportive and nurturing personality.
• Have experience of working with those with social, emotional, or mental health needs.
• Have relevant experience of working with children, young people or vulnerable adults.
• Be someone who is patient, caring and adaptable to each young person you will support.
• Hold a full UK Driving Licence.
