Job Title : Assembly Technician

Location : Glasgow, Scotland

Rate : £22.50 per hour

Contract : Initial 12-month contract

About The Role

Are you ready to take on a hands-on technical role at the forefront of the UK space industry?

We’re recruiting for an experienced Assembly Technician to join a rapidly expanding aerospace organisation at their newly upgraded workshop and engine test facility in Glasgow . You'll be working on cutting-edge launch vehicle technology, supporting both the construction and testing phases—including live hot fire testing of orbit-class rocket engines.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the UK’s space ambitions, while building your expertise in a highly dynamic and rewarding engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Work efficiently on the workshop floor, ensuring all tasks follow strict safety and engineering protocols.
• Operate and maintain complex machinery used in the production of launch vehicles.
• Monitor quality and ensure all components meet rigorous aerospace standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during production.
• Share knowledge and mentor junior staff.
• Promote a culture of safety through regular risk assessments and best practices.
• Contribute to the improvement of workshop processes and overall production efficiency.
