This is a rare opportunity to lead a start-up venture within an established, trusted brand . As Global Business Development Lead , you’ll shape and scale a new division from the ground up—driving strategy, building partnerships, and establishing our client as a key player in the flexible packaging space by 2028.

We’re looking for a self-motivated, resilient, and globally minded leader with a deep understanding of the packaging sector and a passion for growth.

Our client is now entering a bold new chapter with the launch of a new division designed to lead them into the rapidly growing flexible packaging market. The Role

This position requires a commercially astute, self-motivated individual with proven experience in the packaging industry and the ability to drive growth in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Division Ownership -Take full ownership of the new division’s commercial growth (from strategy to execution) as you transition it into a globally recognised name.
  • Sales Leadership - Create and lead a high-performance sales culture, deploying innovative strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets across international markets.
  • Strategic Partnerships - Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, OEMs, digital print providers, distributors, and internal teams to support R&D and secure the best distribution channels.
  • Customer Engagement - Act as the primary global point of contact for the division, ensuring a consistent, customer-first experience across all regions and touchpoints.
  • Marketing Collaboration - Work closely with our marketing team to develop impactful campaigns, lead the division's presence at global trade shows and events, and position the company as a market leader in flexible packaging solutions.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum 7 years of progressive leadership experience in business development, sales, or general management roles.
  • Industry Experience - A proven track record in the flexible packaging, labelling, or print finishing sector and market knowledge of digital print technologies and packaging trends.
  • Global Outlook - Comfortable working across time zones, geographies, and cultures, with prior experience of business development in international roles.
  • Entrepreneurial Drive - You’re a self-starter with the vision, creativity, and determination to scale a business from the ground up and have demonstrated success in scaling or transforming a startup or business unit.
  • Strategic Mindset - You think long-term, plan ahead, and adapt quickly to change in a fast-moving market.
  • Leadership Experience - You’ve led cross-functional teams and inspired performance in high-growth environments.
  • Relationship Builder - You’re natural at building trust with internal and external stakeholders, from boardrooms to the shop floor.
  • Strong Communicator - Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Fluency in Spanish or German is a plus.
  • Problem Solver - Calm under pressure, solutions-focused, and proactive in your decision-making.
  • Willingness to Travel - This is a global role and will require regular international travel.
