As a sales executive, you'll identify new business opportunities in order to generate revenue, improve profitability, and help the business grow.
Serve customers by selling products and meeting customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedules to communicate with existing or potential clients.
- Adjust content of sales presentations by understanding client needs.
- Provide relevant product information by referring to price lists and product information.
- Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily client reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual analyses.
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and marketing techniques.
- Recommend changes in products, services, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
- Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by reading relevant information online, reviewing professional publications, establishing networks, and learning from other colleagues in the company.
- Provide historical records by maintaining records on client sales and other relevant information.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing relevant results as needed.
- Present, promote, and sell products / services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers.
- Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing / potential customers to meet their needs.
- Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
- Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
- Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments.
- Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
- Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends.
- Continuously improve through feedback.
