Location : South Yorkshire (Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster)

Employer : Teaching Personnel

Contract : Flexible (Full-time / Part-time / Ad-hoc supply)

Salary : £90 – £110 per day (depending on experience and placement)

Start Date : September 2025

Teaching Personnel  is currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable  Cover Supervisors  to work across a range of  Secondary Schools in South Yorkshire . This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or individuals with experience working with young people to gain hands-on experience in the classroom.

The Role :

As a Cover Supervisor, you will :

Deliver pre-set lessons and supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher

Manage classroom behaviour and ensure pupils remain engaged with the work provided

Provide support to students as needed and liaise with teaching staff

Report back to staff on behaviour and progress

We’re Looking For :

Strong communication and behaviour management skills

Confidence working with secondary-aged students (11–16)

Flexibility, reliability, and a positive attitude

Experience working in schools or with young people is desirable but not essential

A degree or Level 3 qualification is advantageous, but not required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
