RPS is looking for experienced Heritage Consultants to join our Built Heritage Team to work on many of the biggest and most complicated heritage projects in the UK. We can offer you hybrid working arrangements based in either London, Abingdon, Gloucester or Edinburgh.

About The Opportunity

Our Heritage Team focus on projects within the UK, and we have a reputation for high quality successful work on behalf of our clients. In this role you will be part of a collaborative team who will guide you in providing positive heritage outcomes on behalf of a range of commercial and public sector clients.

We offer an unrivalled range of project experience, working with English Heritage and Historic Royal Palaces, major developers and regeneration leaders, and individual property owners. Our current project work includes advising on the regeneration of a Grade I listed Castle, providing sustainable extension to a Garden Town and providing new uses for our Cold War Heritage.

Every day encourages a new opportunity working with major interdisciplinary teams and innovating architects to provide outstanding new developments.

What You Will Be Doing

You will primarily assist the Built Heritage Directors to complete ongoing projects. Your work will include :

• Historic research
• Analysis of historic buildings and areas
• Advice on repairs and alterations to listed buildings and other heritage assets
• Preparation of Heritage Statements and input to the EIA process
• Preparation of Conservation Management Plans and Strategies
• Liaison with clients, local planning authorities and relevant stakeholders
