We are currently looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team working on the construction of a new carpark at Manchester Airport.
The role will be responsible for taking the commercial lead on managing the costs on this £10M scheme and would suit somebody with experience within earthworks and drainage.
Duties
- Oversee and manage project, ensuring adherence to programme schedules and budgets.
- Lead the commercial management of NEC 4 contracts, including forecasting, cost reporting, and contract administration.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery and alignment with client expectations.
- Drive cost efficiency through value engineering and effective procurement strategies.
- Ensure robust risk management and contractual compliance across all projects.
- Mentor and develop a team of Quantity Surveyors, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Report on project performance and provide strategic commercial insights to senior leadership.
Person Specification
Proven track record as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, ideally within civil engineering or infrastructure projects.Experience working with NEC 4 contracts option A.Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets particularly within sub-contractor delivery.Strong knowledge of cost management, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field (RICS or CIOB accreditation is desirable).Contract Type : Permanent
