BERMUDA. OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST JOB (for INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES) - relocation required

IMS Recruitment’s client operates modern hospitals and community healthcare in Bermuda offering high standards of care from its international workforce.

IMS is seeking an experienced MENTAL HEALTH OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST (INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES).

Any candidate must have relevant experience working within a psychiatric setting and in particular within the area of Intellectual / Developmental Disabilities.

The Role

Performing an appropriate assessment on all in and / or outpatients following referral; identify problems and formulate treatment plans based on realistic stated goals; carry out specific therapeutic interventions as indicated ensuring that a client centered approach is employed throughout this process
Supervising and delegating specific written treatment plans to aides, assistants, and / or students
Observing and evaluating treatment effect; communicating patient progress or lack of to appropriate staff and physicians

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university required

Experience working within a psychiatric setting and Intellectual / Developmental Disabilities

Minimum of (2) years of experience in a related related Occupational Therapy environment (preferably within a hospital)

Eligible for registration with the Bermuda Council for Allied Health Professions (CAHP)

Relocation in Bermuda is required
