Our main college is on a 7-acre site with diverse accommodation for students to live and learn. As part of the therapy team, you will work with an interdisciplinary team to support students' health, wellbeing, and preparation for adulthood.

The role is 17.5 hours over 3 days, term-time only.
About The Role
Location : Lancaster
Hours : 17.5 hours / week, term-time only
Salary : £14,236.32 to £16,577.82 (pro-rata, dependent on experience)
Full-time equivalent : £37,939.20 to £44,179.20)
Job Responsibilities :

- Manage a caseload of young people with complex conditions.
- Undertake specialised Occupational Therapy assessments and treatments, working autonomously with young people with physical and cognitive difficulties.
- Deliver interventions to help students become as independent as possible in daily living, self-care, and educational tasks.
- Assess and provide equipment for daily activities.
- Understand sensory processing difficulties and their impact, advising strategies and tools to support engagement in education and community activities.
- Provide information for funding applications regarding Occupational Therapy input.
- Keep Occupational Therapy practices up-to-date, aligned with current guidelines and evidence.
- Manage risk assessments related to therapy equipment and procedures.
- Train and support staff within the college, promoting a multidisciplinary approach and sharing best practices.
- Maintain clear, concise, and compliant Occupational Therapy records.
- Support therapy sessions, facilitating equipment use and supporting staff in safe practices.
- Utilise Nourish and upload relevant documentation.
- Mentor the wider staff team, supporting the social model of disability.
- Undertake other responsibilities as appropriate.
