We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Whatton, a category C  Prison located in Nottinghamshire.  In this role you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.

Hours

Mon - Sun : 07 : 30 -18 : 30.

There is an an expectation to work 1 in 3 weekends.

Salary

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £40,211 per annum - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Assist with the provision and delivery of high-quality prison pharmaceutical service.
  • Work within the healthcare department and hold direct patient contact, which will be part be of a comprehensive healthcare package, based on the prison services needs.
  • Deliver the highest standard of care to clients in line with National Guidelines.

    Qualifications & Experience required

  • NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD) Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience
  • Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.

    Job responsibilities

    As a GPHC registered pharmacy technician with Practice Plus Group you will become an integral member of pharmacy team, as well as a valued member of the multidisciplinary clinical healthcare team.

    You will;

    Provide outstanding quality based patient centred care to our patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.Focusing on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.

    Deliver non-judgmental care within the scope of professional standards. Involving anything from the timely administration of medicines through to analysing cost effective prescribing as defined through our unique health in justice medicines policy. You will make a real difference by working as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

    Inspire excellence by forging strong links within our teams, our partners and stakeholders and providing a service that people can trust, feel safe within and feel proud of.
