Radio Access Network Systems Engineer

Initial 12 Month Contract

Hybrid - 2 days per fortnight on site in Barrow-in-Furness

55.25 Per Hour (Umbrella Rate - Inside IR35)

The Role

  • Produce Design Documentation Set, technical justifications and specifications as normally associated with RAN (Radio Access Network) Solution Architect responsibilities
  • Ensure reviews and deliverables for Contracts meet requirements and standards
  • Produce test specifications supporting Design, Development & Qualification Contracts
  • Produce test specifications supporting System Integration Facility validation testing
  • Support to Test and Commissioning Teams and Build activities
  • Supporting with the end to end design process
  • Interact with suppliers and customers
  • Advise on maintenance and spares strategies
  • Support quality to assure a safe product and compliant operations

The Candidate

  • Technical Knowledge of Telecommunications (Voice & Data Technologies)
  • Technical Knowledge of Radio VHF / UHF minimum
  • Technical Knowledge of Trunked Radio Systems for example TETRA / P25 / PMR / DMR / MPT1327
  • Fault Diagnosis, Maintenance and Repair of Radio Systems, Equipment and Radio Access Networks.
  • Understanding of RF Spectrum Management.
  • RAN (Radio Access Network) Solution Architect experience
  • Radio Network Planning experience
  • Radio Network Optimisation Experience
