The client is looking for candidates with experience in textiles, retail key account management, or packaging.

This role involves travel to Birmingham once a week to manage a key client account.

You will be based at the client’s headquarters near Skipton, with one day working from home.

80% of the role focuses on account management of a key account, with 20% dedicated to new business lead generation to secure larger accounts.

Benefits include a bonus, GBP400 monthly car allowance, and other company perks.

My client is an innovative and cost-effective clothing manufacturing company with large-scale UK and international production contracts across various industries.

The role involves managing key customer accounts for bespoke manufactured products and overseeing delivery logistics.

As a Customer Account Manager, your responsibilities include coordinating client orders, managing production lead times, handling purchase orders, arranging deliveries with couriers, liaising with suppliers, and maintaining accurate updates in internal sales databases.

You will also prepare weekly and monthly reports on sales, stock, and account analysis to understand customer needs and maximize sales while maintaining high standards of account management.

This varied role supports customer service, sales, and manufacturing teams and is suited for candidates seeking a busy, demanding environment. An affinity for working within a manufacturing team is essential.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Identify new sales opportunities through analysis of existing accounts and suggesting product improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare sales reports and forecasts.
  • Manage materials with suppliers to ensure production efficiency.
  • Resolve order errors and customer issues.
  • Manage weekly customer orders and introduce process improvements.

This role offers opportunities to develop accounts further by applying additional sales strategies.

You should have experience in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, maintaining a pipeline of potential clients, and attending industry events and conferences to gather market insights.

Proven experience in a customer account management role within a textiles manufacturing environment is preferred. Alternatively, a strong interest in textiles combined with an account management background is acceptable.
