Job description

Are you a dedicated professional with a passion for therapeutic care? Our client is seeking a Deputy Manager for their Therapeutic Children's Residential Home in Newcastle Under Lyme. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company committed to providing bespoke therapeutic care to children and young people.

  • 16 per hour, with additional £70 per sleep-in allowances
  • Opportunity for career development to Registered Manager
  • Specialist therapeutic training and support from a Clinical Psychologist
  • 2 days on 4 days off shift pattern

The Role :

As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the well-being and care of children in a purpose-built therapeutic home.

  • Oversee daily operations and maintain high care standards
  • Deliver therapeutic support and guidance to children with EBD needs
  • Lead shifts, supervise staff, and manage placement plans
  • Support the Registered Manager with inspections and audits
  • Ensure thorough staff induction and ongoing training
  • The Candidate :

    The ideal candidate for the Deputy Manager position will have :

  • 3-5 years of experience in Residential Children's Care
  • Understanding of therapeutic care and trauma-informed approaches
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent
  • Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management or willingness to obtain
  • Our client is a new provider specialising in Therapeutic Children's Homes, offering bespoke care to children with complex needs. They collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver tailored therapeutic care, supported by expert guidance from Child Psychology Services.
