We are a modernised employer offering the opportunity for occasional home working. We are a 24 hour, 7 day business, so flexibility to work occasional weekends and nights is a must when required by the business.
To be successful in this role, experience leading and managing a large team is essential, ideally within an FMCG environment. You will possess a positive, can do attitude with a vision to continually maintain and improve the highest standards throughout your day-to-day, ensuring we are delivering our nationally recognised high quality products to all of our mainstream retail customers, such as Tesco, Waitrose and Co-op, to name but a few!

This is what you’ll actually do!
As a Quality Improvement Manager, you will oversee the day to day activities of the Quality Assurance Team for quality, food and safety purposes. You will need to ensure that the correct product and quality standards are achieved to the highest standard. You will manage the product quality evaluation panels and trend the results whilst taking corrective and mitigating actions to drive quality standards.
This is a very fast paced working environment, so you will work on continuous improvement activities to maintain and improve product quality and the wider technical workstream. There will also be a requirement to support with customer and 3rd party visits and audits.
The role will require a strong factory presence to maintain standards and to seek to drive improvements, with strong people management skills and gravitas to influence colleagues and peers from different functions to continuously drive quality.
There are demands in the role of multiple customers all happening at once and translating into driving performance of the QA Team and influencing the Operational Team to 'own' product quality and to meet the correct standards.
This role is very dynamic with no two days the same, with opportunities to influence product quality and factory standards and drive change. This role can be the perfect career stepping stone into Technical Management, Process CI or Operations; whilst giving retailer facing experience.
Ideally this is you!
