Lecturer in Marine Engineering
Here at Brockenhurst College , we are looking to recruit a Lecturer in Marine Engineering on a part-time (4 days per week) permanent basis . In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £31,000 to £41,217.00 pro rata per annum. (Unqualified teachers £24,547 to £31,000 pro rata per annum.)

The Role :

Responsibilities as our Lecturer in Marine Engineering will include :
- Undertake a teaching commitment as defined by the college, this will include delivering both theory and practical (workshop) classes.
- Undertake the role of personal tutor and deliver tutorials and conduct progress reviews with students.
- Promote high attendance across the study programme and follow up all non-attendance and unauthorized absence.
- Plan, develop and deliver teaching learning and assessment on an agreed range of courses using appropriate delivery methods which considers learning styles, learning methods and innovative technologies.
- Mark students work and ensure that feedback is constructive to enable the student to further improve including spelling, grammar, and punctuation as part of the feedback.
- Pay due attention to the principles of inclusive learning including : individual learning styles, support for students with learning difficulties, and disabilities and extension resources / activities for students of higher ability, general resources, including the use of ICT.
- Contribute to the design, delivery and future planning of the study programme and take responsibility for specific course organisation and curriculum development work.
- Manage the delivery of the blended learning curriculum for your course ensuring that students complete the required number of hours as stated in the study programme allocated hours.
- Promote British Values, Prevent alongside Equality, Diversity and Safeguarding.
- Develop and maintain effective external links related to the delivery of the subject / course and represent the College at relevant meetings internal and external.
