The Vacancy

Technical Accountant – Cash

Pro IS, Inc. is currently recruiting for a Technical Accountant - Cash. The successful candidate will support our clients with a variety of functions, some of which are listed below. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to work on different projects which could include technical accounting and claims operations. This employment position can be part-time or full-time and will work daytime hours remotely in the USA. Reinsurance experience is required. You must understand contract language. Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements; you will not be considered.

Main Responsibilities

Accurately allocate cash receipts against open balances.
Perform credit control functions of reinsurance receivables / payables and related account reconciliations.
Financial settlement with clients according to policy terms and agreements and timely management of overall cash flow.
Work collaboratively with other functional areas (Underwriting, Claims, Finance) and clients to clarify and resolve queries, incorrect data, and missing information.
Support ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Desirable Skills and Experience

At least 1 year of experience in reinsurance / insurance operations required

College degree in accounting, finance, or related field or equivalent insurance work experience strongly preferred.

Strong Excel skills required

Ability to multitask and work on different systems and accounts on a daily basis to manage multiple deadlines and changing priorities

Strong analytical skills – detail oriented

Solid organizational and time management skills

Ability to work successfully in a fast-pace environment and adapt to frequent changes

Strong communication skills
