Sous Chef

Salary : £35000 annually
Responsibilities :
- Assist the Head Chef in the management of the kitchen operations.
- Prepare and cook highquality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu specifications.
- Ensure that the kitchen maintains high standards of cleanliness hygiene and food safety.
- Manage and train junior kitchen staff ensuring they adhere to the standards and practices set forth.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as necessary.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and improve existing dishes.
- Handle food preparation and presentation efficiently under time constraints.
- Participate in tasting sessions and food presentations to ensure quality control.
- Assist with menu costing and controlling wastage.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by fostering open communication and collaboration.
Essential Qualifications :
Relevant culinary qualification or degree from a recognized culinary school.Proven experience working as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality and restaurant industry.Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety regulations.Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills.Ability to work well under pressure in a fastpaced environment.Desired Experience :
Minimum of 3 years experience in a professional kitchen environment.Experience with menu development and costing preferred.Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role is advantageous.Strong communication skills and the ability to lead a team effectively.Salary & Benefits :
